We're looking for a Metal Stamping Engineer to evaluate incoming work and determine manufacturability for a well-established stamping manufacturer. This is a hands-on role where your technical judgment will directly influence quoting decisions and production success.

Job Description

  • Review incoming RFQs and determine manufacturability
  • Partner with tooling and production teams on part feasibility
  • Support development of stamping processes and tooling strategies
  • Work with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for design evaluation and modifications
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient production
  • Provide technical input on cost, complexity, and production risk
  • Support continuous improvement of stamping operations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Metal Stamping Engineer should have:

  • Experience with metal stamping (steel preferred)
  • Knowledge of tool & die design and interaction
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience reviewing quotes, RFQs, or manufacturability
  • Exposure to progressive or compound dies (preferred)
  • Fastener experience (nice to have)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in technical decision-making
