Job Description

As a Ground Up Superintendent | Westchester, NY, you will:

  • Lead all field operations from project kickoff through completion.
  • Manage sitework, foundations, structural construction, and interior build-out activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors to maintain project schedules.
  • Conduct daily site walks to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
  • Drive project schedules and proactively address delays and field challenges.
  • Maintain daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and OSHA regulations.
  • Coordinate inspections, punch list completion, and project closeout.
  • Partner with Project Managers and ownership teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage manpower planning, site logistics, and material deliveries.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Ground Up Superintendent | Westchester, NY, should have:

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience with a general contractor.
  • Proven ground-up construction experience on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, education, or mixed-use projects.
  • Strong understanding of site development, structural systems, and construction sequencing.
  • Experience managing projects valued between $10M and $100M+.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive schedules and manage multiple trades simultaneously.
