The Project Manager will oversee the successful execution of a large ground-up multifamily development in Northeast Charlotte while working closely with company leadership and field operations. This individual will be responsible for project financials, scheduling, subcontractor management, client coordination, and overall project delivery.

Our client is a Charlotte-based general contractor specializing primarily in multifamily construction throughout the Carolinas. Despite being a relatively newer organization, the company has established a strong pipeline of work and has positioned itself for substantial growth over the next several years.

Job Description

  • Manage multifamily projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and reporting
  • Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
  • Lead owner, architect, and project team meetings
  • Monitor project financial performance and profitability
  • Collaborate closely with Superintendents and field teams
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards

The Successful Applicant

Required Experience

  • Project Management experience within multifamily construction
  • Ground-up construction experience
  • Experience managing project financials and schedules
  • Ability to independently run projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Large-scale multifamily projects
  • Wood-frame multifamily construction
  • Podium or wrap-style developments
  • Experience leading projects from start to finish
