Job Description



  • Industry Experience: 5+ years of progressive commercial building construction experience.


  • Project Expertise: Deep understanding of contract documents, subcontracts, architectural drawings, and engineering specifications. Solid grasp of construction means, methods, materials, as well as line, grade, and surveying techniques.


  • Sector Familiarity: Experience with Light Industrial or Manufacturing projects is highly advantageous but not required.


  • Safety Certification: Completed OSHA 30-Hour training.


  • Credentials: Must possess a valid driver's license and up-to-date auto insurance.


  • Software: Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.


  • Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to manage, lead, and develop field staff by strategically assigning growth opportunities ("stretch assignments") while providing strong structural support.


  • Core Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). Strong financial acumen, including a solid grasp of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.


  • Work Style: Highly autonomous self-starter who operates with a foundation of trust and respect for all project partners.

The Successful Applicant



  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive commercial or building construction experience.


  • Specialized Background: Prior experience with Residential or Multi-family (specifically Podium-style) construction is a strong asset but not required.


  • Safety Standards: Completed OSHA 30-Hour training.


  • Credentials: Must possess a valid driver's license and active auto insurance.



Technical & Financial Acumen



  • Project Comprehension: Comprehensive understanding of general contracts, subcontracts, drawings, and specifications. Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, as well as line, grade, and surveying techniques.


  • Financial & Tech Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite paired with a solid understanding of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures.



Leadership & Communication



  • People Management: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).


  • Team Development: Proven capability to mentor and develop team members by assigning growth opportunities ("stretch assignments") backed by strong structural support.


  • Work Style: Ability to work autonomously while fostering a culture of trust and respect among all project partners.



Physical Demands & Environment



  • Environmental Adaptability: Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to variable weather conditions (heat, snow, rain, cold, etc.).


  • Physical Capability: Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
