Job Description

Construction Execution & Field Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations for a large-scale multifamily project from sitework through turnover
  • Coordinate and supervise all onsite subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
  • Drive 3-week lookahead schedules, daily logs, and manpower tracking
  • Ensure sequencing and coordination across trades, including structure, façade/envelope, MEPs, and finishes



Schedule & Production Management

  • Maintain and enforce the project schedule (36-month duration) in coordination with Project Management
  • Identify and proactively mitigate schedule risks or delays
  • Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and internal field huddles



Quality Control

  • Enforce company quality standards across all phases of construction
  • Coordinate inspections, punchlists, and turnover procedures
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local building codes



Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture on site
  • Enforce OSHA standards and company safety protocols
  • Participate in safety meetings, audits, and reporting



Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and ownership teams
  • Interface with local municipalities, inspectors, and third-party consultants
  • Support owner/client walkthroughs and progress reporting

The Successful Applicant

Required

  • 8+ years of construction experience, with at least 5+ years as a Superintendent on ground-up projects
  • Proven experience delivering multifamily projects (200+ units preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of full building lifecycle including sitework, structure, building envelope, and interiors
  • Experience managing multiple subcontractor trades on large projects ($75M+)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and field reporting tools (Procore, PlanGrid, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills



Preferred

  • Experience on 600+ unit or podium/high-rise multifamily developments
  • North Jersey / NYC market experience (union trade familiarity a plus)
  • Background with national GC or large regional builder
  • OSHA 30 certification
