Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple municipal and public construction projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead municipal, public works, capital improvement, and JOC projects throughout the Southwest Suburbs and Chicago
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, and design professionals
  • Build and maintain relationships with municipalities, public agencies, architects, and owners
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration
  • Monitor project financial performance, billing, and forecasting
  • Conduct owner meetings and provide regular project updates
  • Ensure compliance with public procurement requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Support preconstruction efforts, estimating reviews, and project buyout
  • Lead project closeout and warranty activities

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
  • Experience managing municipal, public sector, education, government, park district, or institutional construction projects
  • Previous experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC), public bid work, or IDOT/public agency projects is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
