With a significant North American presence and the resources of a larger global organization, the company has built a strong reputation around technical expertise, product reliability, and application-driven solutions used across specialty construction environments.The business operates through a combination of direct customer relationships and an established dealer network, supporting contractors and end users across the U.S. This particular division focuses on specialized equipment used within shotcrete, mortar, fireproofing, refractory, concrete repair, plaster, and grouting applications and is entering its next stage of commercial growth, with a particular focus on expanding its dealer footprint and developing new market opportunities.Job DescriptionThis role will lead the commercial growth of a specialized, application-driven equipment portfolio across the U.S. The Sales Manager will combine hands-on customer engagement with dealer development, market expansion, and strategic oversight of the business.Lead the commercial strategy and growth plan for a portfolio of shotcrete, mortar, fireproofing, refractory, concrete repair, plaster, and grouting equipment.Develop and expand the national dealer network, including identifying new partners, improving geographic coverage, strengthening existing dealer relationships, and driving dealer performance.Build a more proactive business development strategy, identifying new customers, applications, and market opportunities while growing established accounts.Develop strong relationships with dealers, contractors, and end users through customer visits, jobsite engagement, equipment demonstrations, training, and industry events.Own sales forecasting, territory planning, market analysis, and annual sales targets, using market and competitive insights to guide commercial decisions.Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain, service, parts, and finance to support customer needs, product availability, and overall business performance.Monitor competitive activity and customer requirements to help shape product positioning, pricing strategy, market development, and future portfolio opportunities.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful Applicant7+ years of progressive commercial experience within construction equipment, industrial equipment, specialty machinery, or a related technical environment.Strong understanding of mortar, shotcrete, fireproofing, refractory, concrete repair, plaster, grout, pumping/spraying equipment, or closely related applications.Experience managing and developing dealer or distributor relationships, including identifying new partners and expanding market coverage.Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, forecasts, business plans, and market development initiatives.Strong technical aptitude and the ability to engage credibly with contractors, dealers, and end users around equipment applications and jobsite challenges.Hands-on equipment experience is highly valued but not required, including backgrounds in equipment operation, field service, demonstrations, applications, or technical support.Demonstrated leadership experience through direct people management, dealer leadership, or cross-functional/matrix teams.Strong commercial acumen across pricing, margins, forecasting, inventory, and overall business performance.Hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the willingness to be directly involved in customer visits, jobsites, demonstrations, trade shows, and technical discussions.Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent technical or industry experience will be considered.Ability to travel approximately 50%+ nationally.
