About Our Client

This personal injury firm has about 20 paralegals and 20 attorneys. It's an onsite role in Midtown Manhattan.

Job Description

  • Assist attorneys in preparing and managing personal injury cases, particularly those involving premises liability.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather information and provide case updates.
  • Conduct legal research and draft correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate with medical providers to obtain and review medical records and bills.
  • Assist in preparing cases for trial, including organizing exhibits and trial documents.
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with legal deadlines and court requirements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Personal Injury Paralegal (Premises) should have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a personal injuyr paralegal, ideally with exposure to premises liability specifically.
  • Strong understanding of NYS and NYC statues, court rules, and legal procedures.
  • NYS Notary Public license (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a strong preference
  • Familiary with SmartAdvocate is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and legal professionals.
  • A detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in documentation and case management.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully onsite position.
