Job Description

  • Lead pharmaceutical construction projects from planning and preconstruction through commissioning and closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with owners, facility managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Oversee site logistics and construction activities within an active pharmaceutical campus environment.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, quality, and site-specific operating procedures.
  • Drive project execution while minimizing disruption to ongoing manufacturing and facility operations.
  • Review construction documents, project specifications, and change management requests.
  • Lead project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractors and field teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support utility infrastructure, facility upgrades, and site improvement projects as required.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager within construction, engineering, or capital project delivery.
  • Experience managing projects within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, or regulated industrial environments.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
  • Sitework and utility infrastructure experience is highly preferred, including work involving underground utilities, campus infrastructure, and related civil improvements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Knowledge of GMP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical facility requirements is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated career stability with reputable contractors, construction managers, or engineering firms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
