They partner with utilities, renewable energy developers, and industrial clients on transmission, distribution, and substation projects that support grid modernization, system reliability, and the growing demand for resilient power infrastructure.Job DescriptionDevelop physical design packages for transmission and distribution substations (12kV-500kV).Prepare detailed engineering drawings including:General Arrangement (GA) plansEquipment plans and elevationsSection viewsFoundation plansGrounding layoutsConduit and cable trench layoutsControl building layoutsBus and equipment arrangementsStructural steel detailsCreate and revise drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Bentley OpenUtilities Substation.Produce accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and equipment lists.Coordinate designs with civil, structural, electrical, protection & controls, and transmission engineering teams.Perform field walkdowns and site visits to verify existing conditions and support design development.Ensure designs comply with utility standards, NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI, and client specifications.Incorporate vendor drawings and equipment information into final design packages.Support constructability reviews and resolve design issues during construction.Participate in QA/QC reviews and maintain drawing quality standards.Assist with project schedules and meet established design milestones.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
