They are a multi-billion-dollar organization that services a vast network of industries with 10k+ products!Job DescriptionPlant Controller Responsibilities:Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Plant Manager and operations leadership teamProvide insightful analysis on plant performance, including cost, productivity, yield, scrap, and margin driversSupport decision-making on pricing, make/buy, capital investments, and continuous improvement initiativesActively participate in plant staff meetings and operational reviewsOwn monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the plantPrepare and review financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packagesEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and SOX internal control requirementsCoordinate internal and external audits, including walkthroughs and documentation supportLead the annual operating plan (AOP) process and periodic forecasts for the plantAnalyze trends and risks, providing early warning of financial performance gapsTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost reduction initiatives against planOversee standard costing, bill of materials accuracy, routings, and labor ratesAnalyze and explain variances (PPV, usage, absorption, overhead)Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory valuation processesMonitor and improve inventory turns, obsolescence reserves, and working capital performanceMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
