Job Description

  • Lead and manage a team of paralegals and technical specialists across multiple offices
  • Oversee associate and senior associate staffing, workflow allocation, and utilization
  • Analyze performance, utilization, and productivity data to deliver actionable insights
  • Partner with senior leadership and practice group leaders to optimize team effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across offices, including West Coast counterparts
  • Prepare and present clear, strategic reporting (not just raw data) to senior stakeholders
  • Support operational and practice management initiatives across the IP function

The Successful Applicant

A successful Practice Manager should have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in legal or professional services environments
  • At least 3 years of direct people management experience (required)
  • Proven experience in staffing, work allocation, and resource management
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
  • Experience supporting IP, litigation, or comparable practice areas is preferred (but not essential)
  • Confident working in a highly visible, senior-facing role within a complex organization
  • Comfortable operating at Manager level long-term within a flat structure

What's on Offer

Base salary range of $153,000-$192,000

Lucrative discretionary bonus (typically 15-20%+)
