About Our Client

Our client is a nationally recognized employee-owned general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial construction projects across the Southeast. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to join their Nashville team.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a construction professional who can independently lead preconstruction efforts, develop conceptual estimates, and support pursuits valued at $20M+.

Job Description

  • Lead pre-construction planning activities for assigned construction projects.
  • Review project information to clarify scope, requirements, and key deliverables.
  • Develop preliminary budgets and cost estimates to support project planning.
  • Build and maintain pre-construction schedules that guide early project milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and project stakeholders to align plans before construction begins.
  • Identify project questions and planning considerations early to support informed decisions.
  • Prepare clear project documentation, estimates, and planning updates for review.
  • Help transition approved plans into the construction phase with complete project information.

The Successful Applicant

7+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience within commercial construction.

Proven ability to independently manage pursuits valued at $20M+.

Strong conceptual estimating experience.

Experience reviewing plans, specifications, and construction documents.

Proficiency with:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Project
  • Bluebeam
  • OST (On-Screen Takeoff)
  • Digital takeoff and estimating software



Experience with Sage, BeckTech, WinEst, ProEst, or Procore Estimating is a plus.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
