Job Description

  • Lead preconstruction efforts from initial pursuit through project turnover
  • Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and GMPs
  • Provide value engineering solutions to optimize cost and design
  • Conduct constructability reviews and collaborate with design teams
  • Manage subcontractor bidding, scope alignment, and procurement planning
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies early in the process
  • Support scheduling, logistics planning, and transition to operations teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Preconstruction Manager should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in estimating or preconstruction
  • Background in commercial construction (municipal, education, healthcare, interiors, or industrial)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as Procore, Autodesk, Revit, or OnScreen Takeoff (preferred)
