Job Description

  • Lead all preconstruction activities from conceptual budgeting through GMP development
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering recommendations
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors during design development
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Identify project risks and opportunities early in the process
  • Develop project schedules and assist with logistics planning
  • Support business development efforts and client presentations
  • Transition projects seamlessly to operations teams at project turnover

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management with a general contractor
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and pricing
  • Ability to create conceptual estimates with limited design information
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience leading preconstruction efforts on ground-up commercial projects
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
