Job Description



The Process Control Engineer will:

  • Design, review, and implement control system improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency across manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate new equipment, upgrades, and process changes while ensuring consistent quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize electrical and mechanical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, and automated machinery.
  • Lead and execute engineering projects focused on automation, defect reduction, and cost improvements using structured project management methods.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation such as engineering studies, validation protocols, and system schematics.
  • Provide ongoing technical support, applying data monitoring and process control strategies to improve performance and prevent recurring issues.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems, with practical experience in automation and control technologies.
  • Hands-on ability to program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and related industrial systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset toward identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Effective collaborator who can work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Experience managing or contributing to technical projects from concept through implementation and validation.
  • Detail-oriented with solid documentation, CAD, and general business software skills, along with adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
