This position offers the opportunity to drive cost savings, improve supply continuity, lead a small procurement team, and play a key role in overall business performance.The ideal candidate is a proactive procurement professional with strong analytical capabilities, supplier negotiation experience, and a track record of improving purchasing processes within a fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionLead, mentor, and develop a team of purchasing professionals.Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and purchase order management.Identify and secure suppliers that provide the best combination of cost, quality, service, and delivery performance.Negotiate pricing agreements, lead times, and supply commitments to support business objectives.Monitor inventory levels and purchasing activity to maintain efficient product availability and minimize disruptions.Partner with suppliers to resolve shipment issues, shortages, backorders, and service concerns.Analyze spending patterns, market conditions, and commodity trends to support strategic sourcing decisions.Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, inventory management, and leadership teams to support customer requirements.Drive process improvements and procurement best practices across the organization.Prepare reporting and performance metrics to support decision-making and supplier evaluation.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
