Job Description

  • Lead daily production operations and supervise both direct and indirect manufacturing personnel.
  • Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and customer commitments are achieved.
  • Monitor department performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support production goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and support workforce planning activities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees to maximize team performance and engagement.
  • Manage performance reviews, employee relations, and corrective action processes.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Support training programs and encourage the adoption of Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, capital investments, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide regular updates and communication regarding departmental performance and business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated progression into leadership responsibilities.
  • Prior experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing operations, and performance management.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to make decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Medical device, highly regulated manufacturing, or similar industry experience is a plus.
