Job Description

  • Lead and supervise production personnel on first shift within a designated manufacturing area.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate staffing, resources, and production activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor production schedules and workflow to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
  • Track key performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve operational challenges.
  • Support and drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate production documentation and system transactions.
  • Develop, coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to maximize performance and engagement.
  • Facilitate effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution across teams.
  • Lead productivity improvement projects and support capital investment initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, diversity, safety, and continuous learning.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, or business-related discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Medical device, regulated manufacturing, or similar industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, drawings, and operational procedures.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Results-driven approach with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
