Job Description

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple departments and shifts to achieve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals.
  • Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, and resource allocation to support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to resolve operational challenges and improve performance.
  • Monitor production schedules, material availability, and workflow alignment to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Track key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve operational results.
  • Ensure accurate production reporting and timely closure of work orders within the ERP system.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through leadership, employee engagement, and annual safety initiatives.
  • Communicate operational performance, risks, and opportunities to senior plant leadership.
  • Develop team capabilities through coaching, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Lead conflict resolution and foster effective communication across departments and teams.
  • Manage hiring, employee development, succession planning, and corrective action processes.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement programs, including productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization projects.
  • Sponsor capital projects, manage CAPEX requests, and support equipment and facility improvement initiatives.

  • Support changing business priorities and contribute to additional operational initiatives as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • 3-5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience managing production teams, schedules, and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical documentation, and production environments.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment; medical device experience is highly desirable.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean Certification preferred.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and productivity projects.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
