Job Description

As a Professional and Technical Writing Coach, you will play a key role in elevating writing standards across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering one-to-one writing coaching to employees across a range of roles and seniority levels
  • Advising teams on complex written materials, including proposals and technical documents
  • Supporting colleagues in improving professional, financial, and technical writing
  • Helping individuals refine their work to meet the firm's high standards
  • Contributing to a writing-heavy culture through coaching, consulting, and learning initiatives



This is a highly collaborative, people-focused role requiring strong judgement and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse stakeholder group.

The Successful Applicant

  • A bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of writing coaching, teaching, or relevant experience
  • Experience coaching or teaching within higher education settings or corporate environments
  • Strong ability to assess and provide actionable feedback on complex writing
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of discretion when handling confidential information



Preferred experience:

  • Background in learning & development, writing centers, or corporate communications
  • Familiarity with technical, financial, or professional writing environments
  • Experience coaching STEM professionals or advanced academic students
  • Knowledge of writing pedagogy, rhetoric, or composition theory
  • Familiarity with AI writing tools and advising others on their use
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and high EQ
