This role leads the delivery of complex manufacturing programs from early customer engagement through full production, with a strong focus on injection molding tooling and regulated manufacturing environments. You will own program execution, guide tooling strategy, and lead cross‑functional technical teams to ensure products are launched on time, meet customer and regulatory requirements, and are manufacturable at scale.

Job Description

  • Lead engineering and manufacturing programs from quotation through production launch and ongoing manufacturing
  • Define program scope, schedules, budgets, and success metrics, with regular reporting to leadership
  • Serve as a primary technical and program interface with customers
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams consisting of engineering, tooling, manufacturing, quality, and external partners
  • Drive tooling strategy including mold design, development, qualification, transfer, and optimization
  • Ensure tooling and manufacturing solutions meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and cost targets
  • Oversee and support validation activities including IQ, OQ, and PQ
  • Identify technical, schedule, and manufacturing risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Improve tooling and manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, tooling technicians, and program management staff
  • Maintain clear and complete documentation for programs, tooling, and post‑launch reviews

The Successful Applicant

A successful Engineering Manager, Program Management and Tooling should have:

  • An experienced engineering leader with a strong background in plastics manufacturing and injection molding
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs from concept through production
  • Comfortable working directly with customers in regulated industries, with medical device experience strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of tight‑tolerance injection molds and tooling qualification
  • Working knowledge of plastic materials, molding processes, equipment, and secondary operations
  • Confident leading cross‑functional teams and making decisions in fast‑moving environments
  • Highly organized, detail‑focused, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Clear, effective communicator at all levels of the organization
  • Self‑directed, accountable, and collaborative
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks is a plus
