We are seeking a Program Manager to lead multiple construction programs and initiatives across North America. This role is responsible for overseeing project portfolios, aligning stakeholders, managing program performance, and ensuring successful execution of client objectives through effective coordination of field teams, contractors, vendors, and internal resources.

Job Description

  • Manage multiple construction programs and related projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
  • Develop and maintain program strategies, project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Provide oversight of project portfolios to ensure alignment with client goals and organizational objectives.
  • Establish program performance metrics and monitor progress against key milestones and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities among architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
  • Drive consistency in execution, reporting, communication, and project delivery across all assigned programs.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management efforts.
  • Monitor financial performance, project costs, expenses, and overall program budgets.
  • Identify program-level risks, dependencies, and opportunities while implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings and performance reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure project activities remain on schedule and address issues that could impact timelines or deliverables.
  • Perform periodic site visits to assess progress, quality standards, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety requirements, quality expectations, and contractual obligations.
  • Review project documentation and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and provide proactive communication regarding program status.
  • Manage client concerns, escalations, and change requests while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Partner with leadership to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices across programs.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including executives, clients, subcontractors, field personnel, and business partners.
  • Successfully deliver programs and projects while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Program Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Program Management, Project Management, or construction operations.
  • Retail, restaurant, commercial construction, remodel, or rollout experience preferred.
  • PMP certification is a strong asset.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or programs within fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Visio, and Adobe products preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance multiple stakeholder interests.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain composed and productive in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screenings.
