The organization is known for its focus on quality, long-term partnerships, and managing complex projects from initial planning through to completion.Job DescriptionKey respon sibilites of the project accountant include: Monitor and maintain accurate financial records for assigned construction and development projectsPrepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsTrack job costs, identify variances, and provide analysis to support decision-makingSupport monthly close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliationsCollaborate with project managers to ensure alignment between financials and project progressOversee billing processes, including preparation of invoices, lien waivers, and collections follow-upReview contracts and change orders to ensure proper financial treatmentEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and industry regulationsAssist with audits and provide supporting documentation as neededMaintain communication with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership teamsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
