Job Description

Support project teams in managing day-to-day operations across active construction sites
Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure timely approvals and compliance
Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking, identifying risks and delays
Collaborate with Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications
Maintain accurate project records, including logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and inspections
Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, and change management processes
Review plans and specifications to ensure scope alignment and identify potential issues
Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing agencies as required
Support quality control and safety compliance efforts on-site
Participate in project meetings and assist in communication with stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

1-5+ years of experience in construction (Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role)
Exposure to federal construction projects preferred (NAVFAC, USACE, VA, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both field and office teams
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow into more senior roles
Ability to meet federal security clearance requirements
