Job Description

    • Support project teams in managing day-to-day operations across active construction sites
    • Coordinate and track submittals, RFIs, and project documentation to ensure timely approvals and compliance
    • Assist in project scheduling and progress tracking, identifying risks and delays
    • Collaborate with Superintendents and subcontractors to ensure work aligns with project plans and specifications
    • Maintain accurate project records, including logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, and inspections
    • Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, and change management processes
    • Review plans and specifications to ensure scope alignment and identify potential issues
    • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and testing agencies as required
    • Support quality control and safety compliance efforts on-site
    • Participate in project meetings and assist in communication with stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • 1-5+ years of experience in construction (Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or similar role)
  • Exposure to federal construction projects preferred (NAVFAC, USACE, VA, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and project coordination
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both field and office teams
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow into more senior roles
  • Ability to meet federal security clearance requirements
