Job Description

  • Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of engineering and capital projects.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, timelines, and resource plans.
  • Prepare and present business cases for capital expenditures and operational improvements.
  • Oversee equipment installations, commissioning activities, start-up testing, and system integration.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, safety, and production teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Develop equipment specifications, RFQs, and evaluate vendor proposals.
  • Support facility expansions, equipment relocations, and manufacturing process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Mentor and develop engineers while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
  • Support risk assessments, validation activities, and engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting complex manufacturing equipment and processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Engineering Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • 7+ years of experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related engineering leadership roles.
  • Experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment design, manufacturing processes, and industrial systems.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD for design, layouts, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience developing project schedules and managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
