Our client is a highly respected, full-service construction management and development firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region. With a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across healthcare, higher education, multifamily, industrial, government, and commercial markets, they have built long-standing relationships through collaboration, integrity, and consistent project execution.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Executive to lead multiple project teams and oversee major construction initiatives. The Project Executive will play a key role in project delivery, team development, and client engagement while partnering closely with senior leadership. This Project Executive position offers the opportunity to influence operations, mentor future leaders, and help drive the continued success of a well-established contractor.

Job Description

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight for multiple Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and project teams.
  • Lead the successful delivery of large-scale ground-up construction projects ranging from approximately $50M to $100M+ in value.
  • Oversee project performance, budgets, forecasting, profitability, and client satisfaction across a portfolio of projects.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously at various phases of construction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, architects, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Support business development initiatives through networking, industry involvement, and relationship-building efforts.
  • Represent the organization in executive-level meetings and presentations.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to strengthen future leadership within the organization.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, workforce planning, and team growth initiatives.
  • Drive a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and client expectations.
  • Serve as a strategic Project Executive resource for project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 15+ years of construction industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working for a commercial general contractor.
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale ground-up construction projects, ideally valued at $50M-$100M+.
  • Proven track record managing multiple project teams and complex project portfolios.
  • Experience across markets such as healthcare, higher education, multifamily, industrial, government, or commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of estimating, project controls, budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and construction operations.
  • Demonstrated success developing, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to build lasting relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Textura, and construction scheduling software is preferred.
  • LEED project experience is a plus.
  • Strategic, collaborative leader with a strong focus on accountability, team development, and client satisfaction.
