The Building Division consists of more than 100 construction professionals focused exclusively on vertical construction projects including K-12 schools, higher education facilities, healthcare buildings, and industrial developments. Unlike many contractors, this firm does not hire employees on a project-by-project basis and is committed to retaining team members well beyond individual assignments.

Job Description

  • Manage all phases of public K-12 construction projects valued between $50M and $60M.
  • Oversee project financials, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules while driving overall project execution.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead project meetings and ensure effective communication among all stakeholders.
  • Manage contract administration, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Mentor field and project staff while fostering a collaborative project culture.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a true Project Manager role with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience managing public K-12 school construction projects valued at $20M+.
  • Current responsibility for project scheduling and financial management is required.
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.
  • Experience working for reputable commercial construction firms with demonstrated career stability.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Experience with P6, JD Edwards, Textura, and BIM 360 Field is highly preferred.
  • Candidates residing in Rhode Island are strongly preferred due to the nature of the work and local client relationships.
