About Our Client

My client is a family-owned and operated full service construction firm that has been established in Indianapolis for nearly 100 years now entering their fourth generation of ownership. They focus heavily in the commercial construction sector with 60% of their backlog being in healthcare construction, and the rest being in the education and municipal spaces. They do roughly $40M-$60M in yearly revenue and are looking to continue growing for years to come.

Job Description

  • Lead large-scale, ground-up commercial, healthcare, and education projects from preconstruction through final completion
  • Report directly into and work in tandem with the leadership team
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Own key project controls including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, quality, and safety
  • Partner closely with estimating and procurement during preconstruction to drive successful project execution

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience, with a strong background in ground-up commercial construction
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, including budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or comparable construction management software
  • Strong understanding of building codes, permitting, safety requirements, and overall construction processes
  • Previous experience in estimating or field supervision is a strong plus
