Job Description

The Project Manager - Commercial Interiors - Alexandria, VA will be responsible for:

  • Lead multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously through various phases of delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules while serving as the primary point of contact for schedule-related matters.
  • Manage project budgets, financial performance, forecasting, and cost controls.
  • Prepare, issue, negotiate, and administer change orders with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Lead Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, establish agendas, document meeting minutes, and track action items.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement solutions to maintain project objectives.
  • Utilize Procore, PlanGrid, CMiC, and Microsoft Office to manage project documentation and communication.
  • Support project profitability while maintaining exceptional client service and quality standards.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Commercial Interiors - Alexandria, VA should have:

  • 2-5+ years of experience operating as a Project Manager within commercial construction.
  • Proven experience serving as the lead Project Manager on construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost management, and change order administration.
  • Experience leading client-facing meetings and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage projects with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency with Procore, PlanGrid, CMiC, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
