Our client is an established general contractor with 25+ years of industry experience and a strong presence throughout the DMV. The company has approximately 90 full time employees, including a team of traveling Superintendents, and continues to grow in both revenue and headcount.

They are particularly well known for high end corporate interiors and tenant improvement projects, while also working across healthcare, retail, multifamily, hospitality, government, SCIF, capital improvement, and new construction projects. Their work spans the DMV, with licensing to operate across 35 states.

Job Description

The Project Manager - Interiors - NoVA will be responsible for:

  • Leading multiple commercial interiors projects from planning through final completion
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and financial reporting
  • Overseeing procurement, subcontractor buyout, and vendor coordination
  • Serving as the primary client contact and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, and field teams to ensure successful execution
  • Reviewing and negotiate change orders, subcontracts, and project documentation
  • Monitoring project progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues proactively
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Mentoring project staff and collaborate closely with Superintendents and senior leadership

The Successful Applicant

The Project Manager - Interiors - NoVA should have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager managing commercial interiors construction projects
  • Strong background in corporate office fit-outs, tenant improvements, and workplace renovations within the DMV region
  • Comprehensive understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and cost control
  • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing project teams and multiple concurrent projects
  • Knowledge of NYC construction regulations, building standards, and industry best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
