Our client is looking for a Project Manager with ground-up commercial project experience. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the construction industry and will be able to come in and hit the ground running. My client is looking for a candidate with a customer oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

My client has maintained an outstanding reputation as a leader in the construction industry, dedicated to achieving the highest standards of service. They are a $60M-$80M mid-size firm that specializes in the Education, Healthcare, Entertainment, and Commercial markets. They are focused on delivering high-quality solutions on projects ranging from $2M-$15M. The Project Manager will have the ability to be involved in projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Job Description

  • Leads project teams to ensure timely execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Establishes project budgets and manages cost.
  • Coaches, mentors, develops, and trains project management teams.
  • Maintains knowledge of contract requirements and addresses complex obstacles.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Ensures all risk management controls are implemented.
  • Manage and oversee construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Responsible for forecasting, tracking/reporting project costs/revenue and adherence to project estimate.
  • Responsible for problem resolution involving labor disputes, staffing, construction materials, construction equipment and contracts/subcontracts administration.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5+ years of construction experience
  • Commercial Ground-up experience ($2M-$30M)
  • Estimating experience preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage project from full cradle to grave
  • Familiarity with construction safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • A detail-oriented mindset with excellent organization and planning skills
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities to manage teams effectively
