About Our Client

This general contractor is well known and growing throughout the Miami-Dade market of construction. They work in all sectors including healthcare, education, government, retail, multifamily, hospitality, etc. They have an exciting new project coming up in Coral Gables, in the government sector of work. Seeking a Project Manager with relevant experience in the local market to join their team.

Job Description

  • Manage all phases of government construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and agency regulations.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to clients and executive leadership.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and performance management.
  • Monitor project costs and proactively identify risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Review change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.

The Successful Applicant

  • 4-6 years of project management experience within the commercial, public sector, municipal, federal, educational, transportation, or infrastructure construction markets.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting construction projects valued at $40 million or greater.
  • Experience working on government-funded or public sector projects.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, estimating, and project controls.
  • Working knowledge of construction management software, including Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
