About Our Client

This established commercial construction contractor specializes in federal government, institutional, and mission-critical construction projects across the United States and internationally. With approximately 85-90 employees and a strong backlog of work, the organization continues to grow through long-standing relationships with federal agencies and repeat clients. The Project Manager will play a key role in delivering complex construction projects from planning through closeout while collaborating with experienced leadership and project teams. This Project Manager position offers exposure to highly technical projects, and the successful Project Manager will have opportunities to support landmark and secure government facilities.

Job Description

  • Manage commercial and federal construction projects from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Coordinate project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, vendors, and client communications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal teams during estimating, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Maintain relationships with government clients, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that impact schedule or costs.
  • Conduct site visits as needed, typically averaging approximately one field visit per week.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, change orders, and contract administration requirements.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to leadership and clients.
  • Support the successful execution of secure and mission-critical construction programs.
  • Serve as a key Project Manager responsible for maintaining quality standards and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in career development opportunities aligned with the organization's Project Manager II growth track.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience with a General Contractor.
  • Federal or government construction experience preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple project phases, budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
  • Eligible for federal background checks and access to secure facilities.
  • Experience supporting Pentagon, Department of Defense, government, or similarly secure environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Results-driven professional seeking long-term growth within a growing construction organization.
