Milwaukee, Wisconsin Permanent USD100,000 - USD135,000 per year View Job Description
3rd-generation, family-owned Wisconsin GC is hiring a hands-on PM with ground-up experience to help build out a new division, backed by a strong negotiated pipeline and a long-term goal of nearly doubling revenue to $92M. You'll run $3-7M healthcare projects initially before taking a key role in growing their ground-up business, with $150K+ earning potential, strong benefits, WFH flexibility, and a genuine 40-45 hour workweek.
  • High Growth | Award-winning family-run GC on pace to double in size
  • Opportunity to build out a book of business, with a fast track to SPM

About Our Client

A 3rd-generation, family-owned commercial general contractor that's been building across Wisconsin since 1959, with a reputation built on long-term relationships rather than chasing hard-bid work. The firm delivers negotiated projects across healthcare, commercial, retail, hospitality, and industrial markets, and is growing from $50M to a targeted $92M business by expanding its ground-up construction division.

Job Description

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, scopes and contracts
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers and owners
  • Maintain strong, consistent client relationships throughout the project
  • Lead project meetings and manage day-to-day project communication
  • Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications and project documentation
  • Review subcontractor pricing and perform trade takeoffs / scope reviews
  • Monitor project financials, including buyout, billing, costs and projected final costs
  • Identify potential project issues early and develop solutions before they become problems
  • Coordinate closely with field teams to ensure projects are being built according to plans, specifications, schedule and quality standards
  • Help identify opportunities for additional work and repeat business
  • Mentor and provide guidance to APMs and Project Coordinators
  • Stay hands-on with project details rather than simply delegating responsibilities
  • Initially oversee $3M-$7M healthcare renovation projects, with the opportunity to transition into and help build the company's ground-up construction portfolio
  • Bring a customer-focused approach that strengthens relationships with owners, architects and subcontractors and supports future negotiated work
