A growing Southeast general contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up multifamily construction projects in the Athens, GA market. This is not an entry-level PM opportunity. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of Project Manager experience and a proven track record managing ground-up multifamily projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The business is involved throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and development through construction, giving Project Managers strong visibility and ownership over their work.

Job Description

  • Take ownership of ground-up multifamily projects from preconstruction through turnover
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Lead subcontractor and vendor coordination
  • Partner directly with field leadership, ownership, design teams, and clients
  • Identify project risks early and drive solutions to keep projects on schedule and budget
  • Maintain accountability across all phases of construction
  • Support project closeout and successful client turnover

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Strong experience with ground-up multifamily construction required
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects and project teams
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts, and subcontractor management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in student housing or mixed-use construction is a plus
  • Local or regional experience in Georgia is preferred
