Job Description

    • Lead the delivery of ground-up construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
    • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and overall project execution plans.
    • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams.
    • Oversee procurement, contract administration, and subcontractor management.
    • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and change orders to ensure financial targets are met.
    • Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure site operations run efficiently and safely.
    • Manage project risks and proactively resolve issues that could impact schedule or budget.
    • Facilitate project meetings and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final reporting.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Ground Up should have:

    • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
    • Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects in New York.
    • Experience within commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, healthcare, education, or institutional construction is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining strong client relationships.
    • Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling platforms, and Microsoft Office.
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
