Job Description

Higher Education Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of higher education capital projects from inception through occupancy.
    • Manage relationships with university leadership, faculty, staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and risks, implementing proactive solutions to keep initiatives on track and aligned with institutional goals.
    • Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with university standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable building codes.
    • Coordinate campus project activities to minimize disruption to academic operations, research functions, student services, and campus life while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The Successful Applicant

Higher Education Project Manager - Successful Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of capital project, facilities, construction, or project management experience within higher education, institutional, or complex commercial environments.
  • Experience managing campus development, academic, research, student housing, or infrastructure projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction practices, facility operations, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Ability to review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with university leadership, faculty, staff, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
