Job Description

Higher Education Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of higher education capital projects from inception through occupancy.
Manage relationships with university leadership, faculty, staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and risks, implementing proactive solutions to keep initiatives on track and aligned with institutional goals.
Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with university standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable building codes.
Coordinate campus project activities to minimize disruption to academic operations, research functions, student services, and campus life while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The Successful Applicant

Higher Education Project Manager - Successful Candidate Profile:

5+ years of capital project, facilities, construction, or project management experience within higher education, institutional, or complex commercial environments.
Experience managing campus development, academic, research, student housing, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction practices, facility operations, and stakeholder coordination.
Ability to review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with university leadership, faculty, staff, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
