Job Description

  • Manage projects from preconstruction, budgeting, and buyout through construction, closeout, and turnover.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and overall execution strategies.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents to identify potential issues and opportunities before and during construction.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, bid leveling, scope review, contract negotiations, and buyout activities.
  • Manage project financials, including cost tracking, commitments, change orders, pay applications, forecasts, and monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, design revisions, and other project documentation.
  • Work closely with Superintendents to coordinate field operations, sequencing, manpower, logistics, quality control, and safety.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Review subcontractor performance and ensure work is progressing in accordance with contract requirements, schedule, quality expectations, and safety standards.
  • Assist with client development and maintain strong relationships with repeat owners and project partners.
  • Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, commissioning, turnover, warranties, and final documentation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of construction Project Management experience with a general contractor.
  • Experience managing commercial, k-12, higher education, and healthcare construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, estimating, contracts, and project financial management.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong owner and subcontractor relationships.
  • Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software.
