Job Description

  • Lead Special Projects from preconstruction through closeout, owning schedule, budget, quality and client expectations.
  • Develop project budgets and forecasts while closely monitoring financial performance and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and oversight to Special Projects PMs while helping establish processes and best practices across the group.
  • Partner with Business Development and leadership to support new opportunities, strengthen client relationships and grow the Special Projects business.

The Successful Applicant

  • 7+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years independently managing projects.
  • Strong experience with project budgeting, forecasting, financial management and change orders.
  • A polished, confident communicator who can build relationships while also holding clients, subcontractors and project teams accountable.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects; education, healthcare, special projects, renovation or other fast-paced work is highly valued.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field strongly preferred, with demonstrated interest in developing into a people-leadership role.
