Job Description

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements
  • Lead communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Review contract documents, specifications, drawings, and project scopes
  • Coordinate procurement activities and monitor material delivery schedules
  • Evaluate project costs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications
  • Identify and resolve project challenges while minimizing risk and maintaining project momentum
  • Partner with Superintendents to ensure field operations align with project objectives
  • Monitor project financial performance and forecast project outcomes
  • Promote jobsite safety and compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Mixed Commercial Construction should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Experience managing a variety of commercial projects, including ground-up and renovation work
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of Texas commercial construction practices is preferred
