A national commercial construction management firm specializing in retail and commercial projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects from inception through completion. This organization is known for delivering high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective projects through a strong network of contractors, superintendents, and subcontractors across the U.S.

Job Description

  • Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects including planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout
  • Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients across multiple job sites
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring on-time delivery
  • Monitor project budgets, track costs, and manage financial reporting
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, specifications, and client expectations
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders nationwide
  • Review and approve subcontractor scopes, bids, and change orders
  • Leverage cloud-based construction management tools for reporting and documentation
  • Travel as needed to job sites to oversee progress and maintain relationships

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management (retail or commercial preferred)
  • Proven track record managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control
  • Experience managing distributed teams and subcontractors across multiple locations
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software platforms
  • Retail construction (store buildouts, renovations, or rollouts)
  • Experience with nationwide or multi-site project execution
  • Familiarity with fast-track project schedules and tight deadlines
  • Background working with a network of subcontractors and traveling crews
