Job Description

  • Manage multiple concurrent construction projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Lead project planning activities and establish clear objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals are achieved.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, expense reporting, and financial performance.
  • Identify project risks, potential disputes, and operational challenges while developing mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Review project documents, reports, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform periodic site visits to evaluate project progress and compliance with quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
  • Manage client concerns, change requests, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure project activities remain aligned with contractual obligations and business objectives.
  • Maintain strong communication with office staff, field teams, subcontractors, outsourced partners, and client representatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify project opportunities, challenges, and process improvements.
  • Successfully plan, execute, and close multiple projects within demanding timelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager - Retail / Restaurant should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager.
  • Retail, restaurant, remodel, or rollout construction experience strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management, budgeting, scheduling, project controls, and risk management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Oracle, Visio, and Adobe products preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
