About Our Client

My client is a family-oriented, mid-size structural and miscellaneous steel contractor experiencing significant growth in the commercial and multifamily markets. They specialize in structural steel, miscellaneous steel, and pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) projects with a typical project size of $1M-$3M and several recently awarded projects ranging from $10M+. My client operated in a 100% hard-bid environment and has built a strong reputation in the market while maintaining a close-knit, family feel culture.

Job Description

  • Own 15-20 structural and miscellaneous steel projects from turnover through completion
  • Manage project submittals, RFIs, change orders, scheduling and budgeting
  • Coordinate closely with suppliers, foreman, and site managers
  • Serve as a primary point of contact on projects
  • Review drawings, plans, and project specifications to ensure work is properly coordinated
  • Work in a highly-autonomous hands-on role - taking true ownership of the entire project life cycle

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-8 years of Project Management experience in the commercial sector
  • Experience managing full project life cycles from turnover to completion
  • Experience with structural steel, miscellaneous steel, PEMB, or metal fabrication
  • Proven ability to manage upwards of 15+ projects at a time
  • Comfortable working in tandem with field staff to complete projects
  • Experience with construction software - Procore, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and ECOM
