Known for its commitment to quality construction, strong client relationships, and employee development, the company continues to expand its presence across Buffalo, NY and surrounding communities.The firm has a particularly strong portfolio of educational construction work and continues to secure repeat business in the K-12 sector, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with K-12 construction experience.Job DescriptionAs a Project Manager, you will:Manage projects from award through completionDevelop and maintain project budgets and schedulesLead project planning and preconstruction activitiesCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholdersOversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentationTrack project financials and forecastingMaintain communication with clients, architects, and consultantsWork closely with Superintendents to ensure project successMonitor quality control and safety complianceManage project closeout and turnover processesIdentify and mitigate project risks proactivelyA significant portion of the company's work involves K-12 educational construction, including renovations, additions, and new school facilities. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will have:5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial constructionStrong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and contract administrationExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency with construction management software and Microsoft OfficeStrong knowledge of project financial management, procurement, and subcontractor coordinationAbility to build and maintain strong client relationshipsHighly Preferred QualificationsDirect K-12 construction experienceExperience managing school additions, renovations, and new school construction projectsKnowledge of occupied school construction environmentsFamiliarity with public school construction processes and stakeholder communicationExperience handling the unique scheduling and phasing requirements of K-12 projectsK-12 experience is highly preferred and will receive strong consideration during the hiring process. Candidates who have successfully delivered K-12 projects as a Project Manager will stand out significantly.
