MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal Building and Construction Project Manager candidate will have:3-5+ years of construction project management experienceStrong understanding of construction processes and project deliveryExperience managing public-sector or municipal construction projectsExcellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to facilitate meetings and manage stakeholder expectationsExperience reviewing project documentation, submittals, and RFIsProficiency with construction management technology and Microsoft OfficeHighly Preferred QualificationsDirect Wicks Law experienceStrong understanding of New York State public contracting proceduresExperience working with municipalities, school districts, or government agenciesExperience with Autodesk Construction CloudConstruction Management, Engineering, or related educational backgroundPrevious experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or SuperintendentField experience with a desire to transition into project management will also be consideredWicks Law knowledge is the single most important qualification for this position.
