Due to recently securing a significant number of new medical office projects, they are expanding their project management team and are looking to add an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare, medical office, commercial construction, or complex interior build-outs.

Job Description

Glimpse of Your Role:

  • Manage all phases of medical office, healthcare, and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Lead projects involving ground-up medical facilities, medical office buildings, renovations, and complex interior build-outs.
  • Collaborate closely with owners, healthcare providers, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and project documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and overall project administration.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate long-lead medical, architectural, MEP, and specialty construction components.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits and work closely with Superintendents to ensure quality, safety, schedule, and production goals are achieved.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, healthcare construction requirements, safety regulations, permitting requirements, and company standards.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and project stakeholders regarding project status, budget, schedule, risks, and overall performance.
  • Support preconstruction and estimating efforts as needed, including constructability reviews, scope development, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and help support the company's continued growth within the healthcare and medical construction market.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing medical office construction, healthcare facilities, commercial projects, or complex build-outs.
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion and turnover.
  • Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, contracts, subcontractors, and client management.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades, including MEP systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and specialty healthcare systems.
  • Knowledge of permitting, building codes, safety regulations, and construction processes.
  • Experience working directly with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, or other construction/project management software.
  • Experience with estimating, preconstruction, or field supervision is a plus.
  • Healthcare construction experience is highly preferred, particularly medical office builds, renovations, and occupied-space build-outs.
