Job Description

As a Building and Construction Project Manager, in Pittsford, NY (Rochester) you will:

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, and execution strategies.
  • Lead project teams including Superintendents, subcontractors, and administrative staff.
  • Manage client communication and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Track budgets, profitability, change orders, and project costs.
  • Coordinate subcontractor procurement, scopes, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project schedules and identify critical path items.
  • Lead owner meetings and provide project reporting.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design teams to resolve issues.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes, safety compliance, and project closeout documentation.
  • Assist with bidding, preconstruction planning, and negotiated project pursuits

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Building and Construction Project Manager, in Pittsford, NY (Rochester) candidate will have:

  • Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of construction management experience.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to lead project teams and hold subcontractors accountable.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
