Job Description

  • Manage heavy highway, bridge, roadway, and infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and overall project execution.
  • Coordinate field operations and oversee crews that may exceed 100 field personnel.
  • Review plans, specifications, contracts, and subcontract agreements to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls.
  • Collaborate with superintendents, owners, municipalities, subcontractors, and design teams.
  • Drive schedule adherence while maintaining quality, safety, and client satisfaction standards.
  • Support project reporting, documentation, and risk management activities.
  • Utilize construction management software and scheduling tools to track project progress.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy highway, transportation, bridge, or civil infrastructure construction.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor is required.
  • Proven success managing large-scale infrastructure projects and field operations.
  • Ability to lead projects independently with minimal onboarding or supervision.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, drawings, schedules, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Experience working within self-perform construction environments is strongly preferred.
  • Civil Engineering degree preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with construction software such as Bluebeam, HCSS, HeavyBid, HeavyJob, Viewpoint Vista, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be capable of taking ownership of active projects immediately.
