We are seeking a Professional Engineer to provide technical leadership for substation design projects and serve as the Engineer of Record. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical execution of substation physical design projects and serve as the Engineer of Record.
  • Review engineering deliverables, drawings, and calculations to ensure quality and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Coordinate project execution across disciplines, partnering with project managers to meet scope, schedule, and budget goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers and designers through design reviews and coaching.
  • Support construction activities by addressing RFIs, field issues, and design changes.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimates, proposals, and overall project strategy.
  • Take ownership of project performance and help drive successful client outcomes.



Team Leadership

  • Mentor and develop engineering staff through regular feedback, training, and technical support.
  • Lead design reviews, team meetings, and project milestone discussions.
  • Promote a collaborative culture focused on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT license required.
  • 5+ years of substation design experience, including physical substation engineering and project execution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills with the ability to guide teams and manage complex technical challenges.
